Revitalized Luxury: Spa Hotel Persenk Unveils Stunning Renovations and Expanded Wellness Facilities

Following an extensive renovation, Spa Hotel Persenk is poised to redefine the luxury wellness experience in Bulgaria. Located in the picturesque town of Devin, this five-star hotel has emerged with a fresh new look, inspired by the natural beauty of its surroundings. At the heart of the renovations is a commitment to harnessing the therapeutic properties of mineral water from the Bedenski Bani spring, known for its unique physico-chemical composition and temperature of 76°C.

The hotel's manager, Aleksandar Dimchev, shared insights into the renovation, highlighting the introduction of a saltwater pool as a key new feature. This addition complements the existing mineral water-based treatments, reinforcing the hotel's focus on musculoskeletal and nervous system health. With around 90% of its clientele consisting of Bulgarian tourists and a significant influx of international visitors from countries like Israel, France, Germany, Austria, and Romania, Spa Hotel Persenk is cementing its position as a premier wellness destination.

The spa centre itself has been significantly expanded, now boasting three pools, including the newly introduced saltwater pool equipped for hydromassage. Guests can also indulge in infrared, Finnish, and herbal saunas, a steam bath, hammam, jacuzzi areas, and phytobarrels. Recognizing the importance of exclusivity, the hotel has also created a dedicated adults-only zone, perfect for those seeking a serene and uninterrupted wellness experience.

Families are not forgotten, with the hotel offering a specialized Baby SPA area designed for the youngest guests, including infants. This thoughtful provision underlines Spa Hotel Persenk's appeal as a preferred destination for family holidays, where parents can relax knowing their children are being well cared for. The hotel's location in Devin, a town steeped in balneotherapy traditions dating back over two millennia, adds a layer of historical significance to the guest experience.

The surrounding Rhodope Mountains offer numerous opportunities for eco-tourism, including hiking trails that allow guests to embrace nature's splendor. This blend of natural beauty, historical context, and modern luxury amenities positions Spa Hotel Persenk as a unique and compelling choice for travelers seeking relaxation, recovery, and adventure. The hotel's recent accolades, including ranking among the top ten five-star hotels in Bulgaria in 2025 and receiving the 'Best Five Star Spa Hotel in the Balkans 2025' award, are testaments to its dedication to excellence.

As part of its commitment to showcasing the best in wellness and spa tourism, BTA presents an ongoing feature, BG SPA: Salus per aquam, Health Through Water, highlighting certified spa, wellness, and medical spa centres in Bulgaria. With over 200 such establishments, the initiative, in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and the Bulgarian Union of Balneology and SPA Tourism, underscores the country's growing reputation as a health tourism hub. This effort culminates in the HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT, scheduled for May 11 to 13, 2026, in Varna, Sts. Constantine and Helena, Golden Sands, and Albena, where BTA will serve as the main media partner.
