Revolutionizing Education: Girls' Residential School Near Noida Airport to Become Aviation Hub

A significant development is underway in the realm of education near the Noida International Airport at Jewar, with the establishment of a 480-seat Sarvodaya residential school for girls. This institution, slated to commence operations from the next academic session in April 2027, has been earmarked by the Uttar Pradesh government to evolve into a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for aviation. The strategic location of the school, in close proximity to the airport, presents a unique opportunity to foster careers in the aviation sector among its students.

The vision behind this initiative is not only to provide modern and quality education to the daughters of the state but also to equip them with the skills necessary for pursuing careers in emerging fields like aviation. As stated by Minister of State for Social Welfare, Asim Arun, the objective is to give wings to the aspirations of these young girls, marking a significant milestone in their educational and professional journeys.

The development of the school into a world-class educational institution will be supported by The Doon School, which will provide academic mentorship and institutional support. Experienced teachers and experts from The Doon School will regularly visit the campus, offering guidance in teaching methods, school administration, and co-curricular activities. This collaboration aims to ensure that quality education reaches every child, with the hope that more boarding schools will join this initiative in the future.

Meanwhile, the foundation for a modern composite school has been laid by Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh, with an estimated cost of ₹25 crore. This school, to be constructed on around six acres of land provided by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority, will offer education from pre-primary to Class 12. The facilities will include smart classrooms, science and computer laboratories, a library, and sports facilities, providing a comprehensive educational environment.

Singh emphasized that while roads, airports, and industries are crucial for creating economic opportunities, schools play a pivotal role in shaping the future of a nation by creating human capital. The establishment of this new school, along with the recently launched Government Women's College, reflects the state's commitment to expanding quality education in the Jewar region.

The decision to develop the Sarvodaya school as a Centre of Excellence for aviation underscores the government's efforts to promote education and career opportunities in emerging sectors.
