Historic Leiria Castle to Host Enchanting Dance Festival in Portugal

The festival, titled 'Dance in the Castle', is a collaborative effort between the municipality of Leiria, the Annarella Sanchez International Conservatory of Ballet and Dance, and the Leiria Classical Ballet Company. It promises to be an unforgettable experience, with each performance taking place in an intimate setting, allowing for a unique and immersive connection between the audience and the artists. The limited capacity of 40 or 50 spectators per show will ensure a high-quality, close-knit artistic experience, making it a truly exclusive event.

The official opening of the festival is scheduled for July 10, with a spectacular gala featuring renowned Portuguese dancers Margarita Fernandes and António Casalinho. Both natives of Leiria, they are currently part of the prestigious Vienna State Opera in Austria. A highlight of the festival will be the Medieval Festival, taking place on July 24.
