US-India Nutraceutical Supply Chain Strengthened Through Groundbreaking Partnership

In a significant move to boost the US-India nutraceutical supply chain, the Organic & Natural Health Association has announced a strategic partnership with India's Shellac & Forest Products Export Promotion Council (SHEFEXIL). This collaboration aims to enhance scientific exchange, regulatory dialogue, and responsible trade practices between the two countries, ultimately leading to more resilient supply chains for nutraceuticals, botanicals, and functional ingredients.

The partnership marks SHEFEXIL's first formal alliance with a US-based natural health trade association, underscoring the Indian export body's efforts to build international confidence in the country's burgeoning nutraceutical industry. As part of this initiative, the organizations will work together on executive exchanges, regulatory roundtables, scientific forums, trade missions, and educational programs. According to Dr. Debjani Roy, Executive Director of SHEFEXIL, this partnership will create a stronger bridge between India and the US, facilitating science, innovation, and responsible commerce. Anand Swaroop, founder and President of Cepham and a member of the Organic & Natural Health Association, will lead the collaboration through the association's working group. Swaroop noted that this relationship complements SHEFEXIL's broader international initiatives by advancing scientific exchange, market development, education, and trusted relationships that support responsible growth in both countries.

The announcement represents the first major international initiative under the newly elected Organic & Natural Health Association president, Mark Thurston, who is also president of AIDP. The partnership will be formally celebrated at the Bharat Nutraverse Expo in New Delhi this September, followed by the first joint US conference in New Jersey in January 2027.
